How can I create Local users in Windows XP? How can I open the Local Users applet (from Control Panel) in Windows XP?
SolarWinds NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) monitors network traffic by capturing flow data from network devices, including Cisco® NetFlow v5 or v9, Juniper® J-Flow, IPFIX, sFlow®, and Huawei NetStream™.
Find the bandwidth hogs by using SolarWinds NTA to identify which users, applications and protocols are consuming the most bandwidth and the IP addresses of the top talkers. Download a full-functional, 30-day trial and in less than an hour, you can fire up network bandwidth monitoring and start getting a comprehensive view of your network traffic and the location of bottlenecks.
To control local users and some of their settings from a Windows XP Pro machine you can use the LUSRMGR.MSC MMC Snap-in (run lusrmgr.msc from the Run command).
Alternatively, you can use the User Accounts applet in Control Panel.
To open only the User Accounts applet without going to Control Panel, open the Run command and type
control userpasswords2
Press Ok.
This applet (along with the LUSRMGR.MSC MMC Snap-in) should only be used for local user administration. Also, note that these apps are not agailable in Windows XP Home Edition.
