How can I disable the Error Reporting feature in Windows XP or Windows Server 2003?
One of the new features of Windows XP and in Windows Server 2003 is the error reporting feature that offers to send diagnostic information to Microsoft whenever an application or part of the system crashes. There are a number of reasons why you may want to reduce or turn this feature off, particularly if your computer is not connected to the Internet.

You can choose to disable the reporting completely, or you can limit it to just the operating system errors or, just errors from certain programs of your choosing.
To turn off the Error Reporting feature in Windows XP/2003 do the following:

Go to Control Panel.

Click System.

Go to the Advanced tab.

Click Error Reporting.

Click the "Disable Error Reporting" radio box, but select the "But notify me when Critical Errors Occur".
