event alert msg 2003 server how?
I want to setup automatic email alerts on specific event ID on 2003 server.
I tryed to do that from performace console snap in but it doesn't do on Event Id basis. any other MS software or third party software i need? I prefer MS software |

In windows 2003, you can use eventtrigger.exe for that and a command line mailer exe (Or a VBS script for sending e-mails). Have a look at this article:
http://www.petri.co.il/how-to-use-ev...-event-ids.htm What sort of event is it? You don't want to use eventtriggers for common events as it'll flood your mailbox.
