Hi Everyone,

I have CCR Exchange Server 2007 SP1 that I'd like to patch, the HT and CAS role is quite simple to patch as simple reboot in any order (Prod-DR or DR-Prod) doesn't really matter.

My question is, how to patch the Clustered Mailbox Server safely ?

I have one in Prod and one in DR and I just noticed that after the patching few months back, I did manually restart the node in production and now realized that the active server is the DR site not the current production, how to switch that back safely and prevent this happening in the future ?

How to know which active server node is currently running and how to perform the failover ?

Move-ClusteredMailboxServer would be the cmdlet to swicth the active role back.

Simply check in cluster manager which node holds the Exchange group.
