Hi,

We occasionally get problems with outlook taking a minute or so to connect to exchange. I initially put it down to having everything on our exchange server and when the server utilisation is high then obviously pulling email from the serevr will be slow also - but I thought I would ask here to see if I am correct?

Cached mode is turned off, the clients are set to connect using outlook anywhere which resolves to its internal IP anyway. Is there anything else I am missing?

Is there a reason you have cached mode turned off?
You generally get a better user experience with cached mode turned on.

I turned the cache mode off as there was a problem with a perticular email account which wouldnt update the mailbox properly. Once off mail was ok so I left it off. This was only on one client, some do have it on and one or two off but the problem still persists with Outlook flagging a message in the system tray about connecting to the exchange server.
