not sure if this is the correct forum, and even whether i have an acceptable post title...
anyway, essentially have 6 machines, 3 connected to one isp, and 3 connected to another, via their onboard nic. thing is, it is a requirement that they all print to the same printer. currently, each pc has a separate usb-nic adapter, which connects via a mini-hub to the printer* unfortunately, print jobs do not print, and, bizarrely enough, network connectivity does not work on some of the machines while the usb-nic adapter is connected. question is - is there an easy way to provide the requirements without purchase of more hardware? are these usb-nic adapters known to be faulty? is there a way to 'force' print jobs to not travel via the isp connection. *this was set up last year, by someone else (!) any thoughts most appreciated. thanks. |
