USB DVD for OS install
hi,
i think i know the answer to this question (!), but wanted to check with other members. Will any USB DVD writer be bootable for installing an OS when there is no drive present in the case of a laptop, server with no drive installed? I thought it was solely a feature of the BIOS although i have a Dell laptop which has "USB boot support" enabled in the BIOS and will boot from Ubuntu installed on a USB key although not the HP external DVD USB drive i just purchased for such things! Thanks! |
