Default Secure server WiFi network

I manage a charity server SBS 2008 and have setup the network myself part-time. There are staff and (perish the thought) public using the system. Public only access the internet (they are given lessons). I need to provide AP access for public (bought in) laptops and just wondering how to isolate them from (accidentally via say virus insertion) accessing the business network. SBS 2008 server with 2 Aps and a router (also AP). Suggestions welcome as to how best to configure the system to isolate them into their own network area. I have a Netgear FS switch and Netgear 2000 router.

The beat approach is to place the wireless network on its own VLAN. Does your network gear support multiple vlans?

You could also check the APs to see if they have any Wireless Guest features, if not do a search to see if you could upgrade the firmware to an open source one like Tomato or DD-WRT if supported.

Like others have said, it all depends on what equipment you are using and the options available on it.
