Clients should automatically synchronise from the PDC emulator

Are you wanting to stop users manually setting times?

Default Re: Set Domain Controller time

Domain time is independent of time zones so should not be an issue on the server
What does the DC show?
And what is the client OS?

Default Re: Set Domain Controller time

Why are you doing this?

If you have the DC (PDC Emulator) from Domain 1 set as the time source for Domain 2, is Domain 2 in the same Regional Location (time zone) as Domain 1. If the 2 Domain are in different locales then you are going to have a serious time skew if the Regional settings are not changed as well.

Of course I may have totally misunderstood the 3 part sentences that you have typed above.

I understand that English is not your primary language but could you please try and explain what you are trying to do in greater detail. The more you tell us the better we can help. Ta.

Default Re: Set Domain Controller time

Dear,

Our domain is part of forest and the root server for the forest is not our domain.
* * * *DC1: Windows Server 2003 x86
* * * *DC12: Windows Server 2008 x64

Our Domain controllers update time from root server so when i run the w32tm /monitor the result as below:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Z:\>w32tm /monitor
DC1.ourdomain.com [192.168.1.10]:
ICMP: 0ms delay.
NTP: -0.2146681s offset from DC2.ourdomain.com
RefID: ODC1[172.19.1.101]
DC2.ourdomain.com *** PDC *** [192.168.1.11]:
ICMP: 0ms delay.
NTP: +0.0000000s offset from DC2.ourdomain.com
RefID: ODC2[172.19.1.102]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ODC1 and ODC2 is part of domain contain the root server.
the all DC's have the same time Zone (Cairo +2)

DC1 W32Time Parameters:
ntpserver: ODC1
ServiceMain: SvchostEntry_W32Time
Type: NTP
DC2 W32Time Parameters:
ntpserver: time.windows.com,0x9
ServiceMain: SvchostEntry_W32Time
Type: NT5DS

DC2: Confiured as RID, PDC and Infrastrucure

when i changed the time on our domains the time return back to old time

Please Advice
