Strange comment! Did you read my post or is it you didn't find anything else to say than copy/paste MS XP mode home page?

What files sharing issues?? Enable Integration features and you will be able to access all the drives on your Windows 7 system including network drives.

I'm not sure where you are going with the last comment though.

There's no reason they'd lock the OS down. Also, AFAIK every tablet OS out there has been hacked to allow full access anyway. Android's open source, and the latest iOS (5.1.1) was jailbroken a long time ago.

I was responding to your comment about Virtualisation being only for the cloud. And I do not copy/paste without acknowledgement of sources. It is called professional integrity.

But since you seem to take offence at anything anyone says that does not directly answer a question you ask, I suggest you take further offence by going to and looking up "share and enjoy"

I neither don’t feel like setting all my apps again and, as far as I’m concerned, XP will reach end of life when I stop using it! One day I found a good configuration and never updated it since then. I use Hibernation every day and reboot it only every 1 or 2 weeks (I even kept it running for 5 weeks without a reboot). It took me so long to set it that I don’t feel like doing it all over again with a new OS! You know, partitioning, changing Shell Folders paths, disabling useless services, all the registry tricks and I have 2 LANs, 2 simple servers... As long as Ossian won’t tell me it’s possible to tweak Win 7 or 8 as easily as XP, I’ll stick with it! JC
Hey, I like XP, too, and I still use it now. However one of the things to consider is that end-of-life means no more updates for XP. That means that, if a hole in the OS is discovered and exploited (such as what happened to Windows 2000), there will be no Microsoft patches to address it. I'm sure you've seen plenty of updates regarding security vulnerabilities, and those will stop coming. Just something to consider.
