Hi,

I wanted to know if there is a way to move Hyper-V VMs between AMD based CPU and Intel based CPU? In server 2008 R2 SP1

I have done it with stopped VMs without problems but apparently there are issues:

Suggest you
shut down VM
merge all snapshots
export
import on new machine
test and if problems, you can start the original one
if all OK, destroy the original

Did you export and import or just moved the vhd?

Export and Import
(Gives you the safety net that you can always restart the original VM if everything goes pear shaped )
