Hi,
i have a problem to access by \\servername to a shared folder on storage
the client is win xp sp3.
i can ping server name + ip address.
i can get to shared folder by \\ip address, but not by \\servername.
dns are correct, as all rest of network card settings. tried to add at host file the ip + server name, still can't get by \\servername.
checked nslookup to the server - got the correct ip.

tried with several card network, changed client ip, changed client name, remove from domain and rejoined back.
checked for virus, firewall is off.
I had another case earlier this week maybe the same but not sure, already formatted..
