Exclamation on Exchange on tow different domains

hello ,
i have installed a domain dom1.ms.ft and added dom2.ms.ft
each one of them has one DC , Dc1.dom1.ms.ft and Dc2.dom2.ms.ft
so i go to the DC of the first Créated domain to install exchange but
i doesn't work the forestprep is not executed i have an error that says that i dont have permission or the DC is too busy , so is there something i should do before installing echange i think that i should redifine the schema master role on the secend domain which is himself for the moment but i dont know if it is possible to define Dc1.dom1.ms.ft as schema master on Dc2.dom2.ms.ft scine it's tow different domains

i hope someone can help me .
thankYou .

Can you please tell us which version of Exchange you are trying to install??

You must have enterprise admin rights to do the ForestPrep for Exchange.

Are these really 2 different domains??

They look like child domains of ms.ft

Does the domain ms.ft have exchange installed??

I'm also moving this discussion to the Exchnage forums where it will be better serviced.

Is this a single forest with two domains, or two forests each with a domain in it?

Forest prep only needs to be run once, and should be run from the schema master with the apprpriate permissions.
Then you can run domain prep on each domain.

Is there any reason why you are doing a new install with a product that is almost ten years old and is well out of support?

Simon.
