Hi All,

This is my first ASA5510 to confirgure and so far most of the things are working.

I've got internal DNS server (the Domain controller) which I have set the DHCP to assign it's IP as the DNS server for the clients.

PCs can get internet connections fine, however when browsing the internet it takes very long time resolves!

I've manually put 8.8.8.8 as my dns server just to type the messages here as it's that bad.

It would be great if anyone could enlighten me on what I'm missing....

Are you using forwarders on the dns server or root hints? Is dns setup properly? Check any logs on the ASA? If DNS is being inspected (it is by default) do you see the dns requests going out from your dns server? Are you filtering any traffic coming in the inside interface? If you manually set dns to post this, and it fixes the issue then it seems to me to be a problem with your internal dns server.

May help to post a config on the ASA as well.

Indeed it was my mistake on missing the forwarder DNS of the new public DNS
