Hello,
i would like to know please how can i remove \Hide the shut down option through group policy in order to prevent the users shutting down their computers. i would like to keep for them the right to do a Restart Thanks Avi |

Hi,
Try right clicking the GPO you want to apply and browse to; Computer Configuration > Administration Templates > System > Remove boot/ Shutdown/ logon / logoff status |

Thanks for the quick respond, but this setting is only remove the Shut down\Log ON and off message. it is not preventing from the users to do a shut down.

you can do this ... but this will not stop them pressing the power button
here is a sceenshot from xp local policy ![]() i use this setting on my network via group policy for all students |
