Import Downloaded Updates to WSUS
Hello.
Today WSUS crashed for some reason and i tried to reinstall it. After the reinstallation the msde database files got replaced with new ones. When clicking on updates i see zero. My WsusContent folder is about 14GB. Is there any way to force WSUS to "discover" locally stored updates? Unfortunately i don't have any backup of the msde database files. Regards. P.S. I don't care about approvals. Just not downloading the updates again. Last edited by tech25; 2nd May 2007 at 13:34.. |

Which OS and which version of WSUS are you using ?

Thanx for your reply.
What I actually did was: I have configured the basic settings for synchronization and approval and started a synchronization. I took some hours to finish, but the folder’s size hasn’t changed. So I assume it was somehow updating the database and getting any missing updates. Regards. |

You might have problems with that. WSUS will ignor the existing ones. The suggestion is to clean up the Contents folder first.
