Hi ,
I have two 6509 Cisco Switches both are in HSRP with identical config. Currently all the vlans created are communicating with a single trunk port between the two switches. Now new requirement is that I need to have two of the vlans to have its own trunk port.. e.g Vlan - 1 to Vlan -5 has trunkport Gb eth 1/48 Vlan -21 trunkport Gb eth 2/2 Vlan-31 trunkport Gb eth 2/3 What commands should i need to use for this. Current Spanning tree setiing is PVST. Will this affect the new setup with any loop? Pls advise. Thanks and regards Prabu

Why trunk a port that's only carrying one vlan?
In any case you would trunk the port as normal and do something like this: >e.g Vlan - 1 to Vlan -5 has trunkport Gb eth 1/48 switchport trunk allowed vlan 1-5 >Vlan -21 trunkport Gb eth 2/2 switchport trunk allowed vlan 21 >Vlan-31 trunkport Gb eth 2/3 switchport trunk allowed vlan 31 |
