Default Event 3006 Loadperf Language ID

Hi,

I get errors om my Exchange 2003 event. Error 3006

Unable to read the performance counter strings of the 00a language ID. The Win32 status returned by the call is the first DWORD in Data section.

And for the 4,7,0c and 11. Very strange.

In hklm/software/microsoft/windows nt/current version/perflib

I have these subkeys:

004
007
009
00a
00c
011

The 9 looks good, there others have mcafee groupshield things.

Please help me,

Best regards,
Gert

Check to see what version of GroupShield you have. If it's 6.01 or earlier, install 6.02.

You will probably also need to run a command line utility to rebuild your performance library components.

To rebuild all Performance counters including extensible and third party counters in Windows Server 2003, type the following commands at a command prompt and press enter after each command:

cd \windows\system32

lodctr /R

Hope that helps.

if you think it's macafee, you'd problably updated incorrectly to an higher version.
try the following in a command prompt:

go to the folder: c:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan\
when you're there, run the following: LODCTR DSSDATA.INI

this worked for me with mcafee.

let me know if it works.
