Default Adding an XP Virtual OS Client to a Virtual DC in MS Virtual PC 2007

Hi All,

I have setup a Windows 2000 Server Virtual Environment in MS VPC2007. I have my DC setup. Active Directory and domain setup. I have DNS and and DHCP working.

Next i have an XP Client which i'm trying to add to the DC. When i go to add the XP Virtual OS to the Virtual DC, sometimes the Domain Authentication Popup appears and i try to enter my credentials. But it comes up saying that the "Path was not found". If i cancel and then try it again, the authentication popup doesn't appear and i get a "specified domain does not exist or cannot be contacted".

I am able to ping the XP Client from the Virtual DC and vice versa. I have even created a DHCP reservation for the XP virtual Client which it uses successfully, yet when i try to go through the add pc to domain process my issue still occurs.

What am i missing? Anybody got any suggestions? Or can anyone provide me with a step by step guide on how they got their virtual domain environment to work?

Cordially,

Dave
