Need to replace/upgrade our Root CA (running Windows 2000). There is one server running as a Sub under the Root. I've already read I can't move the CA to a 2003 server, so that I know already.
What I'd like to do is create a new Root CA on a Windows 2003 Server, make a new server the subordinate and then take the Root CA offline (much like in the best practices from MS). What do I need to do to our exsisting Root & Sub and Certs? I know very little to nothing about certificates, so this is fairly new to me. Thanks! |
