You know that the console speed is only 9600 baud?
So if you have plenty of time (1 or 2 days) i would say: go for it. connect with hyperterminal to the router go to transfer and choose for send file. otherwise i would configure an ip address on the router and start a tftp server on my client.

Hello,
I have the next problem, when I try to download IOS with TFTP: - I start a tftp server on my PC - I enter the router over telnet - From the router I can’t ping my PC, only with the next extended command: ping vrf mav 10.4.104.39- Therefore, when I write the command copy flash: tftp: , and I give ip address of my PC (10.4.104.39), I get a error massage: Error opening tftp://10.4.104.39/c7600s3223-advipservicesk9-mz.122-33.SRB1.bin (Timed out) |

My PC and the router is connected with switch. (There are member of corporate network)
The regular ping is out of action. I can use only the extended command ping : ping vrf mav 10.4.104.39 |

try to connect your PC to router via crossover cable. After that try to ping the router (normal ping). I just saved a IOS image from the C1841 with this methos. (of course with an TFTP server)
