Hi ,

My information sotre is down i tried to restart the services of exchange i got an error saying (1053 error while restarting information store service)

what does this error means

Would be handy to provide some information.
Has anything changed recently, are you running store AV, what service pack are you running, is the server up to date incl SP etc

Are there any previous errors in the event log as 1053 may just be the failure of the service.

Check if you disks arn't running out of free space. This on the disk where the logs reside, and on the disk that holds your edb files. If its full, try to clean some space, or move your data base and/or log files to a disk that has enought free disk space. Just not copy these filles, move them through ESM.

Check the exchange services are running.

Check if your Virtual SMTP server is running.

If that all is oké, and your still unable to mount you sore, your database or log filles might be corrupt.

Use ESEutil to check your database and/or log files.
