Default how to disable install of any other protocol other then tcp/ip ?

Installing xp on standalone Laptop for users that connect to the internet through wireless connection, I want the option to change any settings of the tcp/ip protocol but disable Netware and ipx from been insalled.
i was looking at the groop policy for a solution but could not pinpoint as of were this can be done.
any help will be apriciated

I am not sure how the proper syntax, but you might be able to create a script with the "netsh" command, that could do this.

use group policy
user configuration >administrative templates >network> network connections
right panel apply disable add remove components for LAN or Remote connections
and
apply enable windows 2000 network connections for administrators
both of them

thanks , but even after i did what you sugested there is no change, as if the gp not applied . i restarted the pc and no change.

I dont know but check registry also If not registry key exists create it

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Wind ows\Network Connections

right panel create and check

dword named NC_AddRemoveComponents and its value 0
dword named NC_EnableAdminProhibits and its value 1

then restart
