Hello,
I am installing Quickbooks on a Client/Server setup and I tested it on my own machine with great results. But when I install it on the accountants machine I cannot see the share or even the other computers on the network domain. Why can't I see any other computers or shares on the same domain? We must have over one hundred different machines and I can only see a handful myself. This is the way I found this network/domain when I was hired. Same subnet, same domain. I tried removing the machine from the domain and readding it but with same results. Any ideas? |

I believe Netbios over TCP is disabled per default because of security reasons.
You don't need it however, if you really really want it (i don't know why) you can enable it on the TCP/IP properties of via GPO.

Also, File and Printer Sharing must be bound to and enabled on the NIC.
