Hello. New to the forum.

I have recently completed the configuration of my new Exchange Server 2003 to sync wirelessly over the internet with our employees' SmartPhones and Pocket PCs (Phone Edition). It works wonderfully, so my next natural thought is, why couldn't I put an ActiveSync client on a home PC (running Outlook 2003) to also synchronize with my Exchange Server in the same way? The ActiveSync client only seems to be looking for a wired device via a COM port or a USB connection. I think the "magic" is in the Windows Mobile versions of ActiveSync which has all the options for setting up the connection to the Exchange Server. That version, of course, won't install on "regular" Windows XP however.

Is there a way to accomplish this today, or if not, is this something anyone is working on that anyone is aware of?

Why not install ActiveSync 3.8 client on you XP and use it as a guest partnership with the computer?
