Hello All,

I am having a problem with a Windows 2000 SP4 Server configured as a DC in which if I want to add a new driver not before installed on the server it gives me an error.

Procedure:

Open Printers folder
Click File, Server Properties
Select the Drivers tab of the Server properties
Select Add

Browse to select the driver and click OK to install.
The installation seems to go ahead just before completing and then I get an error dialog box with Title.

Add Printer Driver Wizard

with message;

Unable to install "Driver Name", Windows 2000, Intel driver. Operation could not be completed.

I have tried this with many different drivers and still no luck.
I have re-service packed the server and also cleaned the spooler with cleanspl.exe.

Any advise would be MUCH appreciated!!

Make sure driver signing is not set to block unsigned drivers.

Thanks for the reply but I changed the driver signing to warn but it still doesn't install the driver.

Any further ideas would be much appreciated.

Is the spooler service on?????? Can't load printer drivers without it......

Yeah ofcourse, spooler service is running but seems to new drivers not previously installed work on the server...
