According to Daniel's article:
http://www.petri.co.il/change_user_p...e_computer.htm I press Ctrl-Alt-Del in my local computer (which is XP, too) to bring up Windows Securtiy dialog box. Then I click "Change Password ..." button to bring up Change Password dialog box. I fill out everything correctly, including username, computer name and passwords. However, it returns that "You don't have permission to change your password". I do have account in that remote machine and I can log in locally without any problem. I looked security options in local policy but I couldn't find any related item. Anyone can tell me what is the reason? Is it possible that Windows XP removed this useful feature? I can change password successfully in a remote win2000 machine using this method. |
