Hi,
I've just came across a strange problem on our Win2K3 servers. We have 2 DCs running as a cluster, and there is a share on this cluster. Within this share we have created a folder. This folder has had it's permissions changed to only allow 2 users to use it, even Administrators are blocked from this folder. The problem is that every now and again, a member of the Administrators group IS able to access the share. Any ideas as to what might be causing this? TIA MJ |

Did you setup the share as a resource and set the permissions on the cluster, or did you setup ther shares as usual on each node ?
I'm guessing one of the permissions are set incorrectly on one of the nodes (if you did the 2nd option). topper

The share had already been set up, so I'm not sure how that bit was done.
What I've done is create a folder within the share, and tried to restrict access to the specific folder. The new folder isn't shared. |
