Default Switch device(blackberry phone) on Blackberry server express edition

Hello,
Does anybody know anything about how to switch a device(blackberry phone) on the Blackberry server express edition?
The user already has an account on the blackberry server. His phone went down. Is there a switch device wizard on the server?
Are there any procedures I could perform to make this a seamless change over, or do I have to delete users and re-add with the new device(blackberry phone)?

Thank you very much

Alex

As far as I know, you have to delete and re-add the user and they'll have to activate the new device.

I did not even delete the user on BES 5. Assigned a new activation password and activated from the new BB.

what RobW said - just reactivate.
however.. you may choose to wipe the old phone remotely first if necessary
or to set a password, thereby rendering it basically useless

The user can switch devices on their own. No need to delete the user.

They just need to login to the web desktop manager (the link is on your BES) as themselves. Connect the device and then choose to switch to that device. The BES will do the rest.
You can also do it yourself through the admin console by connecting the device, and then choosing to assign the device to a user.

If you aren't seeing the device when you are connected to the BES admin console then either you haven't enabled the ActiveX control or you have an old version. Remove the Blackberry Communications Components from Add/Remove programs, then restart your browser. When prompted, install the ActiveX control again.

So the right step is:
Remove the Blackberry Communications Components from Add/Remove programs, then restart browser. When prompted, install the ActiveX control.
I do not understand how to reinstall Blackberry Communications Components.

Thank you

The ActiveX control is the Blackberry Communications Components. You remove them, then restart the browser. The ActiveX control then reinstalls them.

I already have.
Once you have removed the existing components from Add/Remove programs, the ActiveX control will reinstall it next time you visit the Blackberry Admin Site. It isn't exactly difficult.
