I have migrated my customer from exchange 2003 to exchange 2010. Got through all the little glitches but cannot resolve the missing content in my public folders.
I've been working on this for 3 days and have tried many things but all I've managed to do is replicate folders from exchange 2003 to exchange 2010. It looks like the folders names replicated but there is no content in any of them. Please Help!! |

Only 3 days.... give it about 3 weeks
Seriously, PF replication is the lowest priority so it WILL take time If you really need it quicker, consider exporting to PST, then dropping the store on the 2003 server and importing into the 2010 PFs

You have to use a mailbox that is still located on the Exchange 2003 server.
I leave public folder migration at least a week before I get worried, although you should see some content going across within a few days. If you are seeing nothing in any folders, then I would investigate further as that can be an indication of a problem - usually something blocking the SMTP traffic. I also do not migrate any mailboxes until the public folder content is across. Simon.

Thank you,
Yes I used a mailbox that I hadn't moved from exchange 2003, successfully started outlook using that user. Then I exported public folder, stopped replication on both servers. Started outlook using a migrated mailbox account. Imported pst file back in to my public folder. Not sure if this will cause issues, but it seemed to work. If anybody has any input, please let me know. |
