Dell 2335 Printer - Constant Flashing amber light? Wont print data (Pic Included)
Hey
Have a flashing amber light which refuses to go off. Have cleaned out the printer and there and no paper jams The far right hand light with a bulb on it is constantly green Have also changed the toner to no avail Any ideas folks?? It still prints the setup/config pages!  Thanks |

User Guide for the 2335dn MFP (from http://support.dell.com/support/edoc...n/en/index.htm) indicates
1) Minor error - check display 2) Toner low (ruled out) 3) Toner empty (ditto) 4) Paper Jam (unlikely since status pages print - note cleaning out can leave little scraps of paper blocking sensors) 5) No Paper (ditto) 6) Major error - check display Anything on the display? What about a very simple print job -- from a CMD, dir>lpt1 (or whatever the port is)? What OS and applications are you using, and how are you connecting to the printer?

No display on them unfortunately so limited to the light notifications
I have tried a simple one worded word doc and not working. The print is connected via usb to one machine with other users sharing off it. Worked 100% until this error appeared. Printer also out of warranty. |

You may be able to get Dell to help you with the error code even though it's out of warranty. Tried resetting the printer's config and/or the firmware? Ossian: It looks like there's multiple versions of it out there. Found an Indian version of it that matches his pic.
