hello,
I migrated my exchange server 2010 to a new hardware. Although not mutually exclusive because every time I try to disconnect the old server, the new does not work anymore. What can this be? I failed to migrate some function? Thank you. |

There are rather too many unknowns to give you an answer.
What is the exact error you get (or what doesnt work)? Have you: a) moved all mailboxes including e.g. Discovery Search, then deleted old databases b) Replicated public folders and deleted the old copies then the old PF database c) Changed send and receive connectors to the new server d) Moved all the CAS role functionality (OWA, ActiveSync, Autodiscover...) to the new server

I think I changed everything, because we are working with two servers to six months. The former is only connected, we are working with the new.
When I turn off the server that will become extinct, the new stops. No longer has any cash, public folder ... |

From what I've been checking these months is normal. Really, I do not know what might be falantando to finish the migration of hardware.

There isn't enough information in your question to know what the problem could be. Saying things do not work is not enough, you need to be more specific.
However you cannot just turn off or disconnect an Exchange server. You need to remove the server correctly using add/remove programs. The uninstall process will tell you if there is anything that is blocking the removal process. NO OTHER METHOD OF REMOVING EXCHANGE IS SUPPORTED. Simon.

Simon,
The problem which this occurs is described. And two servers connected on a single production. All I think it could be migrated to the production was. To uninstall, first I need to fix this problem. When I disconnect it to see if the other server works alone, without dependence, it does not work. If the other serivdor off work, oh yes I will uninstall. I'll have more security for it. Tks |

You haven't posted any errors - just that it doesn't work when the server is turned off.
Exchange is expecting the server to be there, the "turn off and see what breaks" method of testing will not give you valid results. I can take a number of guesses as to the cause of the problem. If you don't have an RPC CAS Array for example, then the clients could still be pointing to the old server. Simon.
