Hi..

I don't know why but if I disable a user in AD veritas backup fails on Exchange 2003 mailbox back.
I have found a way to fix this problem but I need to do this on 500 to 600 users account.

If I add user back into mailbox right and give 'read', 'Full' and 'Associated external account' it fixes the problem.

How can I do this for 500 user accounts by scripting?

Is there a way at all?

I'm thinking that the problem created due the use of Exchange backup Agent.
When the mailbox/user is disable, the Agent Backup cant backup this account.
Remove this mailbox from backup will resolve this issue.
Also, please review Backupexec Admin guide.

We need to do a brick level backup so I cannot take the agent off.

Also I thank you for that 'danielp'
I just cannot get my hands on that 'NoMAS' tool.

I also have ran 'ADModify' tool but that still does not work.
I just wish we did not had this keeping mailbox policy (a month).
I just want to purge the damm things.

Well....I just have to add the disabled users back into 'Mailbox Right' one by one....

I'll let you know end of the year....if I start now.
Or the new service pack comes out.
