How to demote existing primary root domain to secondary root domain
Hi Guys,
I have one Root Domain (W2003) as primary root domain....now I have new server that will be configure as Primary Root Domain in the same domain forest.. Anybody can help me , how to install new server as primary root domain and the existing one as seconday root domain... You can user RENDOM from Microsoft to rename domains and thus move them between trees in the forest, however you CANNOT make changes to the forest root domain. If indeed you need to make changes to the FOREST ROOT DOMAIN you will need to remove AD totally (including child domains) and reinstall AD from the start.
Are you sure this is what you want to do? Or could it be that you gave us wrong details in your question? Next time use the correct forum.
