Windows Server 2008 Overview

Windows Server 2008 was released in February 2008, and was followed by Windows Server 2008 R2 in October 2009. Arguably the most signification new feature introduced in this version was Hyper-V, Microsoft’s server virtualization technology. Other noteworthy features included self-healing NTFS, the introduction of Server Core, and new failover clustering options.
